Hyde Name Origins.

The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres .

The flower seller on the bottom card was in my class at junior school :) Glad to see he's still standing the markets.

Hi Tom,
I was doing some upkeep on my dashboard, and came across Wigger's World. So I dropped by to see what has been going on, and followed your link here. What an interesting subject! I have never been to the UK, but I enjoyed the pics and postcards here. Keep it up!
