Hyde Name Origins.

The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres .

In 1950 three of the tinies would have been 6 years old.

I remember being in a Zion's panto in the late 50's Bertha Howe made our costumes and one of her daughters was the choreographer. I would think the picture is one of an early panto as at least 6 of the cast were born in 1940/42.

No I was not one of the tinies, I did my first panto at 5 that would be in 1952. Somewhere I have a couple of pictures taken in different years I will try to find them out.
