Hyde Name Origins.

The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres .

I remember going up to the cenotaph after school with Josie to see the snow. Perhaps this was when the photo was taken?

I have fond memories of the Heelis family when we all used to live at Acorn Avenue - and as my horse is called Adam, I often think of those days!!
