Two nice postcards here.
First one is on Green Lane looking towards Mottram Old Road & the second one is an unknown location but thought to be on Werneth Low.
Both Postcards look from the same era judging by the boys shirts.

ReplyDeleteThe lad stood on the cart to the right is Hardy Robinson ( lived on a farm at the back of the Low, could have been Bottoms hall farm ) and the one holding the donkey's head is Joseph Robinson (my father ) from Green farm Green lane. It looks like the same donkey it belonged to Joseph. See Swan family post for other picture taken on Mottram Old Rd.
