    Wonderful pictures. They must have employed a great many people. Sad that so many of our industries have died or gone abroad.

    I think Christy's (owned by Wellspun) still do the Wimbledon towels - evrything is made in India now though and the sales office which was at Carrfield Mill is now in Cheadle Hulme.
