Apparently, Apple Street is the longest Street in Hyde - not sure how true this is as I've never measured it personally ! I haven't got a tape measure long enough :)

They used to say that George Street was the longest in Hyde but now it's buried deep beneath the M67, Apple Street probably has that honour, although some would probably say its a country lane rather than a street.
