Trams

These picture all show trams around the Hyde area.... can anyone put a name to the roads they are on? One seems to be on it's way into Hyde... where as the others have a Mottram sign on show.

Cheers Nancy.. I see what you mean about Penny Meadow..
I'm thinking the top one might be Bennett Street... and the Second picture Mottram Road... but to be honest they are guesses... ha!

My mum thinks that the first one may be Mottram Road but not 100% sure on that.

I have tried pin pointing the first one with the door frame, and stone and brickwork... but can't... not on Bennett Street or Mottram Road.. ha! A bit of head scratching is needed...

I think the second one is at the top of Market Street just below Vernon Street.

The bottom one is Portland Place in Stalybridge

I have finally tracked down the first photograph. It is Castle Street Edgeley, Stockport. I found a near identical photo in a book called 'Tramways in and around Stockport' by Raymond Keeley.Sadly it was demolished to build the Mercian Way bypass road.
