Although this looks like a very short write-up compared with some of the other and doesn't have the 'David Jones' sign-off at the end, I've checked the newspaper cutting and it doesn't look as if Ronnie Bardsley (who compiled the scrapbook) has omitted any of the original story.
I'm sure a lot of people will remember the state the building was in for a considerable time.
It's now been put to good use once again.
