Castle Steps in Hyde Park

A couple of "before and after" shots from Tony.

Photobucket
Hyde Park "castle" steps in 1952
Is the path in the background, going up the hill, still there?
I like the little flower beds, next to the stream.

..and in 2010

It is so much more overgrown in the later shot.

Thanks Tony, for sharing with us :)

I spent many a school dinner time on these steps, either eating chips or chatting to girls from Flowery Field school.

I am sure the pathway that runs behind the old Grammar School is still in use... the park underwent restoration in the woodlands in the last few years or so and opened the pathways back up and made it safer to walk about in there.

I like the present "wilder" look.
