St Georges Church

I think this postcard view of St Georges Church and the allotments is great!

I didn't know it was known as Church Brow Gardens though!

A great colour postcard courtesy of Dave !
It's better than the first postcard!

Me neither.
I always knew it as the allotments on Woodend Lane.

I've got a colour version of this picture that Ann and Bill Stones lent to me. It shows a slightly more extensive view; for instance the path divides just where the couple are standing (or walking?) one goes straight on whilst the other comes round and goes off to the left of the picture. It looks as if it's the path that goes from the bottom of Fawley Avenue to the bottom of Gower Road, and the viewpoint for the picture is about at the end of where St George's Drive is now. The path the couple are on is the one which goes from the bottom of Gower Road to Church Brow, and to the steps going between the houses to Woodend Lane. I'll send you a copy of the picture.
