View Down Newton Street

I am hoping that normal service and daily posting will be back in the next few days. This last week has been extremely difficult for me to devote my time here. Thank you for your patience.

I'm sorry, but adding an unnecessary frame to the photo reduces the overall size of the displayed picture, therefore making it very hard to make out details on what is already a relativity low clarity image.

Hi Chris
1st. the picture was cropped from a poor picture... even at this size the picture is starting to to break up.

2nd. Making the picture bigger would not make the image any clearer.

3rd The putting of a picture frame on some of the images is 'my' choice.... it is how I sometimes do things. I can not please everyone in what I do.

4th. I'm astounded that after leaving messages to explain why the blog is not functioning at the moment and I explain that I have far more important things to be dealing with, I still get petty comments complaining about picture frames. Please just view the blog as it is... let me and the team get on with it our way... enjoy it for what it is... faults and all... at the end of the day the blog is here to be viewed and enjoyed and will hopefully carry on for a good while yet.

Tom, I wouldn't have answered the criticism of the frame. It's so petty and unnecessary, especially at a time when you're all struggling one way or another, and the person commenting knows that. Look after you, that's what matters.

Wow, what a disappointingly rude reply, Tom.
I know you have a lot on your plate, but please do not take it out on me.

I was not being "petty", only trying to advise from my experience.

If I may have the chance to prove my point by saying that this photo in question has been posted on the blog before, without being cropped and without the addition of a frame.
Here. Newton Street Original

As you may or may not agree, it is perfectly good in it's original state.

I would appreciate it if you would post this comment for the sake of my right to reply.

Glen, sorry if my reply caused you offence, but if I'm honest is was meant to and bought my point home. Today's photo was just that a view of Newton Street. It was placed there today just to update the blog with and to sit besides my words.
I will be continuing, cutting, cropping and adding frames as I see fit.
I do not want to get into a debate about what I do freely in my own time and when I am up to doing so.
The blog is about Hyde... not me or what I do or don't do. I don't mean to cause upset to anyone but I intend to carry on doing the blog as I think fit. Hopefully any picture or post will stir memories for someone somewhere, I do not mind posting the same picture more than once or twice. Enjoy what is available, and let me get on with it. Feel free to comment on this again and then that is it... like I said I do not want to spend my time and efforts debating.

You should have thought all this out before you started to run the blog. If you can't find the time pack it in.

Lads, please don't do this. This Blog has a significant importance for me and I wouldn't want to lose it -it's far too precious. It matters not one jot to me if a photo is framed or of too low a resolution to enlarge. Neither does it matter how many times the same picture is posted. I love them all. Chris, why don't you send some of your own stuff in? That way you will have no cause for complaint as it will be perfect, no doubt.

Barry in Oz. Tom, ignore them mate, you and the team do a fantastic job. You even carry on doing it even though you are going through an horrendous time and I admire that mate. Criticism only has meaning if you respect the person giving it.
