Hyde Pubs 1975 (47)

7 or 8 years ago and the name had changed to Flannagans,,,,,
,,,,, by February 2011 they seemed undecided as to whether it should be Flannagans.....
..... or Flanagans.
Anyway, now it's called The Olde Town House and here's a photograph taken just over a month ago.

I remember going to greeny school with a lad called boardman who lived at that pub, must have been their son

In the original newspaper photo to the far right you can just see Doreen's sweet shop.
I was 8 years old in 1975, and going to Doreen's was an almost daily pilgrimage.

I worked at the moulders in the early 70s for Les and Liz. Also for Joan Roper in the Clarendon, and a short spell for Arthur (crasy horse) in the Cheshire Cheese. Great days with great memorries.
