Wow! I can't believe all the shops that used to be on Talbot Road. I'd love a trip back in time to visit them - at yesterdays prices of course! :)

It must have been a very busy area... folk had plenty of shops to choose from as well... service would have been with a smile as well

My Grasndad had the Chip shop on Talbot Rd opposite St Marey's school in the 1940s and 50s, Jack Cryers paper shop was next door and I delivered papers for him as a lad. Mayalls cake shop was on the other side of the Chip shop. I remember Sissons shop well and also Ollerenshaws on the other side of the road near the post office. Barry in Aussie.
