Hyde Name Origins.

The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres .

Hyde United season 1968/69

I found this fixture card from Hyde United 's season 1968/69. It had been lovingly filled in by my Dad (or brother) with all the results from all the games. It was great going to the games in the 60's and 70's with all the hustle and bustle, which is now sadly lacking. It's such a shame that Hyde FC doesn't get the crowds it used to get anymore....
