I much prefer the old look too, it just looks so wonderful, so very interesting. I bet you could go down into Hyde in those days and know you could get exactly what you wanted and also know it was well made. Those shops just look so good, so very different to some of the trashy shops we have in Hyde today!
Just to add that the postmark on the old postcard is October 1910, and it is produced by Joseph Andrew, Stationers, of Hyde. The message starts with "This is our new series."
