Hyde Name Origins.

The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres .

Town Hall Reflection

Hyde Town Hall Reflection photo 29997_1355634103782_3086768_n.jpg

Hi everyone,
Tom here posting for a day or two whilst Nancy sorts a few things out with her P.C. Today's picture was taken quite by chance... I was taking a picture of the statue on top of the building opposite Barclays bank when I noticed this reflection. Couldn't resist it... I hope you like it.
