Hyde Name Origins.

The name "HYDE" is derived from the hide, a measure of land for taxation purposes, taken to be that area of land necessary to support a peasant family. In later times it was taken to be equivalent to 120 acres .

Is this just one class? Current law states that infant school class sizes should be no more than 30 pupils per class because there are concerns that individuals struggle for attention in larger groups, yet I've counted 47 pupils in this photo. And I bet they were better educated than your average infant pupil is nowadays.

I think it's just class 5, although it may mean year 5 ?
