AS promised, some lovely shots of the Cemetery Chapel by Dave.
Beggars belief that it was allowed to be demolished.
Thanks Dave, at least we have some decent photos of the building to remember it by...
Little comfort, I know.

Thank you, Dave, for these fine shots. A permanent reminder of a building needlessly lost.
The more I look at these pictures, the more sad I feel at the loss of this unique building... so glad Dave went out and took these pictures...
I was just checking our emails, We'd been contacted by someone on another matter but this was included in the email and I thought it summed up the loss of this building very well....
" I have just seen that the chapel at the cemetery has been demolished. This to me seems like an act of vandalism. I was at the cemetery in January looking for the grave of my great uncle and I thought how peaceful it was, and the chapel helped with that feeling of calm."
Just shows the importance of such a building... much more than just bricks and mortar to most people.
I was up there this morning - there was a man with a digger parked by the remaining rubble and a lorry parked not far away. They were having a butty so I was able to take a few photos of the scene before it got carted away. Very sad.

Dave from RSA,sorry about the previus posting, should have read.....Anybody in there right mind would not have signed any document regarding the demolishing of such a beautiful building
