Mr Drewitt, was at Leight St Juniors in the mid 70's when I was there.

He was bald by then and played the piano during morning assembly.

At Greenfield Street Primary in the early fifties, Miss Marlor had two registers for 60 children in the class.

I don't think the teacher on the left is Mr Drewitt, I'm pretty sure it's Ken Sloan. Mr Drewitt had what is called year 6 nowadays, these are younger than year 6.

Does anyone have a photo of when Miss Moore was headmistress of Leigh St infants school in the 1950's? I went there from 1957-1959. It would be lovely to see some of the faces I might remember...

Mr Drewitt was my teacher in the final year, I remember throwing a crayon at the board and it it hit his rather bald head, he walked around with it on his head for the rest of the day, clearly no one told him, or he was blessed with a wonderful sense of humour !!! I wonder !!!!
